Celebrates Krishna lifting Mount Govardhan to protect villagers from Indra's wrath and floods.
Traditions:
- Creating cow-dung hillocks (Govardhan Parvat) and decorating them with flowers
- Worshipping cattle and decorating them with garlands and tilak
- Preparing and offering 56 or 108 different food items (Chhappan Bhog) to Krishna
