Daylight Saving Time is a massive scam

I don't understand why the West still does Daylight Saving Time. It's a complete scam.
Twice a year, an entire hemisphere collectively decides to just hallucinate that it's a different time. They shift their clocks forward, lose an hour of sleep, and suddenly the rate of car crashes spikes the next Monday. I'm not making that up. The stats are wild.
In India, we just don't do it. We don't touch our clocks. Indian Standard Time is Indian Standard Time in December, and it's exact same Indian Standard Time in June.
Here's the thing — the whole DST concept was invented for agriculture in places where the daylight shifts violently between summer and winter. India is close to the equator. We don't get those crazy shifts. The sun goes down around 6 or 7 PM pretty much all year.
But working with US clients during the DST shift? Absolute chaos.
For six months of the year, the EST gap is 10.5 hours. Then suddenly in November, it's 9.5 hours. Your recurring 9 PM standup is suddenly at 8 PM, except nobody told the calendar app, so half the team shows up early and the other half is eating breakfast. It took our team three weeks to stop being late to the Monday sync last fall.
Just stop changing the clocks. The cows don't care what time it is.
